Aw, the traditional “about” page. Seems like you can’t have a site without having an “about” page. Of course, humans are a curious bunch, otherwise websites & Facebook wouldn’t exist.
So, here are the basics about me. I’m in my 30s, live in Olympia, Washington with an amazing husband (who still puts up with me after all these years), 2 children (who I affectionately refer to as the Two Terrors), 2 cats & 1 dog. I am the only girl in my house as even the animals are male.
My birthday is December 20th, which bothered me for years but I’m over now. For those that follow astrology, this makes me a Sagittarius (and if you’re like me, you really don’t follow it but somehow still know your sign). I’m moody and obnoxious at least 90% of the time, but I believe that most people are. What separates us is the amount of filter we use to only show people the small part of yourself that they can handle.
Don’t come to me for advice, you’re likely to get what you already know but don’t want to hear. To paraphrase a quote, basically I “say it like I eat it”. And I hope you’d do the same if I came to you for advice. Advice is not the time when people should be sugar-coating things and not telling you how they really feel.
I also like to create things, all kinds of things. I mean, you’d think I’d stick to one medium but that’s yet to happen. Maybe some day it will! There’s always hope that I will put down all the extras in my life and focus on one hobby. But I float and flutter around from hobby to hobby. I’d like to think that this is a sign that I just haven’t found the right one yet. It’s probably more a sign that I get bored easily.
And I know it’s not “cool” to admit that as an adult, I play video games, but I do. I get great enjoyment out of World of Warcraft, Puzzle Pirates, & various console games. Hey, it beats being out there drinking & carousing, right? Perhaps just as dangerous though, because too much of anything is going to kill you. Everything in moderation is the key!
So this about page as gone off on a tangent, but I think that’s fitting of me. This folks, is the real deal. It’s how I am in real life. I’m just too busy to sit there and have multiple versions of myself. Way too time consuming to maintain.
